Inspired by Shen Congwen's writings about Xiangxi, this act portrays a poetic vision of small-town life—sunrise over flowing streams, fireflies at night, boat songs echoing on the river. This is the romantic Xiangxi that captures hearts.
Act 5:马桑树 (The Sang Tree)
Zhangjiajie is revolutionary ground—the birthplace of Marshal He Long (贺龙) and the departure point for the Red Army's Long March. This act honors the heroes who left under the sang tree, never to return, and the women who waited eternally for their loved ones.
